David C. Mannon

President and Chief Executive Officer

Mr. Mannon serves as our Chief Executive Officer and President and has over 30 years of experience in the oilfield industry.  From 2012 until 2015, Mr. Mannon served as Managing Director of Broadreach Advisors, a firm that he founded to provide consulting advisory services to the upstream energy sector.   From 2009 until 2012, Mr. Mannon served as Chief Executive Officer and President of Parker Drilling Company (NYSE: PKD), a global land and marine energy service company providing high-performance contract drilling solutions, rental tools and project management services to the energy industry.  At Parker Drilling, he served as President and COO from 2007 until 2009 and as Senior Vice President and COO from 2005 to 2007.

Mr. Mannon earned a Bachelor of Science degree in civil engineering from Southern Methodist University and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Houston.  He is currently a member of the National Petroleum Council, American Petroleum Institute, International Association of Drilling Contractors, and Society of Petroleum Engineers.  He serves on the board of privately-held FlexGen, a provider of power equipment for solar, energy, military and other uses.

Mark Margavio

Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer

Mr. Margavio has over twenty-five years of experience in corporate finance, complex financing, acquisitions, investments, audit, tax, and financial systems. Mr. Margavio has successfully lead finance teams in a corporate turn-around, an IPO, several shareholder exits and over twenty acquisitions.

Previously, Mr. Margavio served as the Chief Financial Officer of QMax Solutions Inc. (Anchor Drilling Fluids) from January 2015 to November 2018. Mr. Margavio served as Vice President, Chief Financial Officer and Executive Consultant of Frank’s International N.V. from July 2002 to December 2014. Mr. Margavio was the Chief Financial Officer for Agility Logistics (formerly Transoceanic Shipping Company) from April 1997 to July 2002. From 1982 to 1997, Mr. Margavio held various positions in investments, treasury, and finance, including Senior Lead Analyst in Treasury and Corporate Finance for Entergy Corporation and Director of Acquisition for RPC Inc. He also has received designations as a Certified Treasury Professional, Certified Cash Manager and Registered Investment Advisor. Mr. Margavio received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from Southeastern Louisiana University and his Master of Business Administration Degree from the University of New Orleans. Mr. Margavio earned his Certified Public Accountant designation in 1994.

Brian D. Baird

Senior Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary

Mr. Baird serves as our Senior Vice President, General Counsel, and Secretary.  His legal background is broad based with an emphasis on mergers and acquisitions, corporate finance, public markets and private equity, oilfield services, e-commerce and SaaS, manufacturing, commercial real estate, supply chain management, aviation law, and general corporate law.

Prior to joining Stallion, he served from 2005 until 2015 as Vice President, Chief Legal Officer and Secretary of Frank’s International N.V., an international oilfield services company specializing in the installation of tubulars for onshore and offshore drilling applications.  Together with the company’s CFO, Mr. Baird led Frank’s International’s successful initial public offering in 2013.

From 2000 to 2005, Mr. Baird was Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary of Pantellos Corporation, a Houston-based supply chain services and electronic marketplace company owned by 20 of the largest publically owned electric utility companies.  Earlier in his career, he practiced with the law firms of Boyar & Miller from 1991 to 2000 and with Jenkens & Gilchrist from 1989 to 1991.

Mr. Baird received both his Doctor of Jurisprudence in 1989 and his Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Finance in 1986 from the University of Texas.

In 2007, Mr. Baird was named Solo General Counsel of the Year by the Houston Business Journal.  He has served on the Board of Directors of the Houston Chapter of the General Counsel Forum since 2010, served as the President of that organization in 2013, and served on the national Board of Directors from 2013 through 2015.

Stephen Thorness

Senior Vice President and Chief Administrative Officer

Mr. Thorness serves as our Senior Vice President and Chief Administrative Officer and has over forty years of experience in the oilfield industry.  From 2009 through 2015, Mr. Thorness was owner of Thorness Consulting, an HR consulting practice focused on coaching, facilitation, and process improvement for the oil and gas industry.  Prior to that, he held numerous positions in his 34 years with Baker Hughes, primarily in Operations Management as Region Manager and various other management roles, and in Human Resource management as Vice President of HR for the BHI divisions.

Mr. Thorness earned a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy from the University of North Dakota.  He further studied graduate business administration at the University of Texas and executive education in Human Resources at the University of Michigan.  He is active in charitable and community work, especially in working with parents and teens who have struggled with addiction or addictive behavior of a family member.

Jason Lu

Vice President and Chief Information Officer

Mr. Lu serves as our Vice President and Chief Information Officer. His technology background is broad with over 20 years leading technology organizations that supported the global operations of Fortune 500 companies. Industry types include the oilfield, retail energy, logistics, enterprise software, e-commerce, defense, and healthcare industries.

Prior to joining Stallion, From 2016-2017 he served as Chief Technology Officer at Avangard Innovative, one of the largest waste management and recycling companies in the Americas. From 2014-2016 Jason served as Senior Director of Oracle’s Global Consulting Project Management Office. Earlier in his career, Jason held senior IT leadership positions in high technology companies that included BMC Software, eBay, Dell, JCPenney, and HP.

Jason received his Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of California at Berkeley. He also holds his Project Management Professional (PMP) and Scrum Master (CSM) certifications.

Dave Henley

Vice President of Sales and South Texas Operations

Mr. Henley serves as our Vice President of Sales and has over thirty five years experience in the oilfield industry. From 2009 until 2017 he held various senior level positions at Select Energy Services including Region VP –Operations, VP- Disposal Solutions, and Sr. VP – Business Development. Prior to Select, Mr. Henley was President of Hyland Enterprises, a heavy haul, tank rental, and fluid handling service and also President of LEED Energy Services, a well servicing and fluid handling business. He has also held senior positions with Expro Group, Weatherford International, and Baker Hughes.

Mr. Henley earned a Bachelor of Science in Education from Southern Arkansas University. He is active in several industry organizations including Association of Energy Service Companies, Independent Petroleum Association of America, and Texas Independent Producers & Royalty Owners Association.

Cameron L. Simon

Vice President – Products

Cameron Simon serves as our Regional Vice President for Products. Cameron joined Stallion in 2008 and has worked across several business lines. Beginning his career in Stallion’s field operations in East Texas, Wyoming, Alaska and Pennsylvania prior to transitioning into management provided Cameron valuable experience in all of Stallion’s operations comprising accommodations, StaRComm® remote communications, solids control, production services, and man-camp operations. After this operational experience, Cameron served as Regional Vice President for the Eastern Division

Cameron is a graduate of the University of Mississippi and was awarded a Bachelor of Business Administration. He is actively involved in many trade organizations throughout the energy sector, notably Young Professionals in Energy, American Association of Drilling Engineers, and Petroleum Equipment and Services Association. Additionally, he has served on the board of the Williamsport Chamber of Commerce, and the Williamsport Industrial Properties Corporation. Cameron was named “Foremost Under 40, Rising Star” by Pennsylvania Business Journal in both 2011 and 2012.

Scott D. Jones

Vice President, ARK-LA-TX Operations

Scott joined Stallion in 2008. Previously, Scott served as division manager, ARK-LA-TX for Key Energy Services for 6 years before joining Stallion. Scott began his career in the late 70s as a roughneck in the oilfields of North LA. In 1980, he formed Mud Tech of Springhill, an oilfield service company, which would eventually become part of the Q Services acquisition and later, Key Energy. Scott attended Louisiana Tech University, where he studied petroleum technology. He is a member of the LSU Tiger Athletic Foundation and a community volunteer and sponsor of the Claiborne Charity Association.

Judd McBride

Vice President of Northern, Eastern, Permian and Mid-Con Operations

Judd McBride brings a diversified and dynamic breadth of experience to his role as Stallion’s VP of Northern, Eastern, Permian, and MidCon Operations Operations.

His extensive experience in sales and finance give him invaluable insights and fuel his commitment to taking a holistic view of the company, making sure he executes his operational responsibilities to the best interest of the entire organization. As a former member of the firm’s Mergers & Acquisitions group, he appreciates and understands how the right acquisitions can enhance operations. In addition, his financial background rounds out his worth and confidence, and make him a meaningful contributor on the executive team.

Judd’s early career years saw him studying at Texas A&M, focusing on pursuing a career in the financial side of farming and agriculture, where he’d worked every summer since youth. Like a true Texas son, he also spent summers on drilling rigs both on and offshore, gaining extensive exposure to equipment servicing. He held several positions with National Oilwell Varco, from operational posts through the accounting group and on to Regional Administrative Manager in solids control management. His work ethic and genuine likability led to an opportunity on the Account Management side, cultivating his business development skills while fully absorbing the technical and operations side of the business. The eventual offer from Stallion’s M&A group represented the perfect marriage of his combined talents in finance, sales, and field experience, where he could further thrive and mature in a compatible corporate culture.

Chrysta Dansby

Director of Human Resources

Chrysta Dansby serves as Director of Human Resources at Stallion Oilfield Services. Chrysta brings more than 18 years of leadership experience in the Oil and Gas industry, including 15 years with Stallion. She is responsible for the strategic and operational growth of the people function as well as partnering with stakeholders across the Company to drive performance. Prior to serving as Director of Human Resources, Chrysta held the positons, Director of Payroll and Director of Compensation and Benefits.

Chrysta attended Texas Tech University, where she studied Psychology and fueled her interests in the people element of business. She furthered her executive education in Human Resources at the University of Michigan. As an active member of various community organizations, Chrysta is involved as an officer in the Pearland Silverlake Lions Club and a member of the International Committee of the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo.
